The Allianz exceeded analysts' expectations in the third quarter thanks to a significant increase in the property-casualty business. Operational profit rose by 13 percent to 3.94 billion euros, surpassing the consensus of 3.8 billion euros that the company itself had published. Europe's largest insurance company recorded a 22 percent increase in net profit to 2.47 billion euros.

The outstanding result in the property-casualty segment, which increased by 36 percent, contributed significantly to this quarterly profit. Allianz attributes the positive result to fewer catastrophe claims and strong business performance and is now more optimistic for the full year. The company expects to reach the operating profit of 14.8 billion euros at the upper end of the forecast range, with a possible deviation of one billion euros up or down. The analyst consensus is currently already at 15.8 billion euros, near the upper end of this range.

The quarterly figures were received with mixed reactions on the stock market. After Allianz shares reached their highest level since 2001 at over 300 euros in October, they stood at 284.60 euros on XETRA on Wednesday, up 0.60 percent. Analysts like Andrew Baker from Goldman Sachs considered the results "solid enough" but do not see an urgent need for consensus adjustment.
