In 2019, Argentina reported a trade surplus of $15.99 billion. The primary exports included cereals, fats and oils, beef and related products, and dairy products, accounting for 36% of the total exports. Other significant exports were oilseeds and oleaginous fruits, straw and fodder, and meat and edible offal at 12%, motor vehicles and parts at 10%, and crude oil and fuels at 5%. The main imports consisted of intermediate goods, which made up 35% of total imports, followed by parts and accessories for capital goods at 21%, capital goods at 17%, consumer goods at 13%, fuels and lubricants at 9%, and motor vehicles at 5%. Regarding trading partners, Brazil was the largest, representing 16% of total exports and 21% of imports. The European Union followed with 14% of exports and imports each. China accounted for 11% of exports and 19% of imports, and the combined figures for the United States, Mexico, and Canada were 8% of exports and 16% of imports. Other notable trading partners included Chile, Italy, and Spain.
