Why We Built Eulerpool — And Why We Named It After a Blind Mathematician

For decades, financial data has been locked behind six-figure terminal contracts, buried in clunky interfaces designed in the 1990s, and gatekept by institutions that profit from complexity.

We looked at the Bloomberg Terminal — a $25,000/year product with an interface older than the internet itself — and asked a simple question: Why?

Why should an individual investor, a quant researcher, or an AI agent building the future of finance have to fight through decades of legacy infrastructure just to access a company's revenue history?

The answer is: they shouldn't. So we built Eulerpool.

Why "Euler"?

Leonhard Euler (pronounced OY-ler) was an 18th-century Swiss mathematician who produced more original work than any mathematician before or after him — over 886 books and papers across every field of mathematics and physics.

He went completely blind at 64. His output didn't slow down. It increased. He carried entire proofs in his head, dictating them to scribes, sustained by what contemporaries described as an almost supernatural memory.

Euler didn't just solve problems. He invented the language to describe them. The notation f(x) for functions? Euler. The letter e for the base of natural logarithms? Euler. The modern use of π? Popularized by Euler. The symbol i for imaginary numbers? Euler. The summation symbol Σ? Euler.

He gave mathematics its alphabet. We are giving financial data its operating system.

What We Believe

We chose the name Eulerpool because we believe in the same principles that drove Euler's work: that complexity should be reduced to elegance, that knowledge should be structured and accessible, and that one system — rigorously designed — can become the foundation everything else is built upon.

The "pool" represents convergence: every financial dataset, every market, every metric — flowing into a single, structured source of truth.

Institutional-Grade Data. For Everyone.

Eulerpool is a financial data platform and API built for the age of AI. We provide real-time and historical financial data across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and macroeconomics — structured, verified, and accessible through a single interface and a single API call.

  • Data without gates. No sales calls. No six-figure contracts. Sign up and build.
  • Built for AI agents. Every endpoint returns typed, deterministic JSON. Structured for LLMs, copilots, and agents to reason about markets without hallucinating.
  • Design as first principle. We combine the depth of a Bloomberg Terminal with the clarity and beauty of a product designed in 2025.
  • Radical data quality. Every data point is linked to its original source. Over 100 million financial metrics. 100,000+ real-time updates per day.

Today, over 500,000 investors rely on Eulerpool. No outside funding. No venture capital. Built entirely on the conviction that better data, better design, and relentless quality would win.
