Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, has significantly surpassed analyst predictions with its sensational third-quarter revenues. These impressive figures highlight TSMC's strategic advantage stemming from the booming demand in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), one of the key growth areas in the post-pandemic era.
With giants like Apple and Nvidia among its clientele, TSMC remains at the forefront of technological development. From July to September this year, the company achieved revenues of an impressive 759.69 billion Taiwan dollars (approximately 23.62 billion US dollars), while expectations stood at 750.36 billion Taiwan dollars (around 23.33 billion US dollars). This represents an impressive growth rate of 36.5% compared to the previous year, when the revenue was 17.3 billion US dollars.
Although TSMC announces its monthly revenues in Taiwan dollars and its quarterly revenues in US dollars, the success remains emblematic of the creativity and efficiency that characterize the company. As early as July, TSMC projected revenues between 22.4 and 23.2 billion US dollars for the third quarter.
Particularly noteworthy is the September revenue, which rose by 39.6% year-over-year to 251.87 billion Taiwan dollars. While detailed information was absent in the brief revenue announcement, expectations remain high that further positive outlooks will follow on October 17, with the full quarterly report.
