Oracle presents an innovative RFID solution to optimize inventory management in healthcare

Oracle announced the introduction of a new replenishment solution in Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM), specifically designed for healthcare customers. This solution, called RFID for Replenishment, integrates RFID technologies from Avery Dennison, Terso Solutions, and Zebra Technologies. It enables automatic usage tracking, inventory updates, location tracking, and the triggering of materials and supplies reordering. The aim is to achieve productivity gains, deeper insights into inventory stocks, and avoid delays by ensuring that the right stock is at the right place at the right time. Chris Leone, Executive Vice President of Applications Development at Oracle, emphasized the importance of the solution: "Inventory managers in healthcare rely on frequent stock counts, which often require manual data entry and can lead to errors, replenishment delays, and item loss.
