Nvidia focuses on AI innovations: SoundHound AI and Nebius in the spotlight

The investment strategies of large companies are often a reflection of their growth ambitions and enthusiasm for innovation. Particularly interesting at the moment is the portfolio of the semiconductor giant Nvidia, which recently provided insights into its holdings through a 13F filing. Nvidia holds shares in six publicly traded companies, including Applied Digital, Arm Holdings, Nano-X Imaging, Recursion Pharmaceuticals, Serve Robotics, and SoundHound AI. The highlight of this portfolio is undoubtedly SoundHound, a pioneer in voice-controlled artificial intelligence, whose stock price has increased by an incredible 950 percent over the past twelve months. For investors who want to feel the pulse of the AI industry, this sounds all too enticing. However, caution is advised: such rapid momentum carries risks. A less well-known but equally exciting alternative is the AI provider Nebius, which Nvidia is also backing. Nebius, formerly part of the Russian internet company Yandex, is now an independent company based in Amsterdam following a strategic restructuring and has been listed on the Nasdaq since October. After the name change and separation from Yandex, triggered by Western sanctions against Russia, Nebius is now pursuing ambitious plans. Through a private placement in December, Nebius was able to raise 700 million dollars, supported by Nvidia and the venture capital firm Accel. Nebius's core business lies in AI infrastructure, also addressing areas such as generative AI and autonomous driving.
