Internet Computer relies on AI offensive in the blockchain sector

The blockchain project "Internet Computer" (ICP) aims to establish itself as a leading network for on-chain artificial intelligence. Dominic Williams, founder of Dfinity, the company behind ICP, predicts a shift in the technology world where AI, rather than humans, becomes the primary developer of applications. Currently, cryptocurrency prices are heavily influenced by market mechanisms and speculation. However, Williams is convinced that in the long term, reality will prevail through technology. Since the Internet Computer Blockchain first utilized neural networks as smart contracts in April of the previous year, its potential has become evident: AI can be executed natively on a blockchain. This innovation sets ICP apart from other networks. Unlike other projects that rely on external infrastructures like Amazon Web Services, ICP aims to integrate the entire AI development and execution structure on-chain. This creates a sort of "self-writing internet," where users express their desires and AI translates these desires into functional applications. This could simplify and accelerate many development processes. The concept envisions AI-driven applications arising instantaneously, being continuously updated, and resilient through blockchain technology. Williams highlights the potential of hackathons, where ordinary users successfully use AI to create applications—from platforms for pothole mapping to digital tools for wills. Despite these technical advances, the ICP token remains financially unremarkable and is more aligned with general market trends than user acceptance. Williams remains optimistic that this could change in the near future. For him, this could be the moment when Web3 surpasses Web2 technologically without relying on token incentives.
