Takeaways NEW

  • The company achieved a revenue of 1.1 billion US dollars in the first six months of 2023.
  • Pattern Group plans an IPO with a price of 14 US dollars per share.
Pattern Group, a dynamic company based in Lehi, Utah, in the e-commerce sector, has set the price for its initial public offering at $14 per share. This is right in the middle of the previously indicated price range of $13 to $15 per share. Both the company itself and some of its investors are collectively offering 21.43 million shares, with each half being provided by Pattern and its backers. The placement of the shares remains constant, as seen in documents from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. At this price, Pattern could raise around $300 million and achieve a market capitalization of approximately $2.5 billion. The company's spokespersons have not commented on this. The financial development of the firm is impressive: In the first six months up to June 30, it achieved a net profit of $32.1 million with a revenue of $1.1 billion, compared to a net profit of $22.6 million and a revenue of $841.3 million in the same period of the previous year. Pattern, founded in 2013 by David Wright and Melanie Alder, operates on platforms such as those of Amazon, Walmart, and Macy’s and provides its clients with support in inventory management, logistics, as well as software and marketing services. Despite the trend of consolidation in the brand aggregator sector, which was intensified by the pandemic, Pattern completed a financing round in 2021 led by Knox Lane, which increased the enterprise value before the IPO to approximately $2 billion. The company's shares are expected to be traded from Friday under the ticker symbol PTRN on the Nasdaq Global Select Market. Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase are leading the issuance. The company's co-founders will hold 86.5% of the voting rights after the IPO, while Knox Lane will own 4.7% and Banner Capital 2.5%.
