The firm has a non-controlling interest in the energy explorer Advent Energy Ltd (Advent) of 38.27%. Advent holds a portfolio of near-term development and exploration assets spanning prospective acreage onshore and offshore Australia in petroleum basins. Advent asset base also incorporates both conventional and unconventional petroleum targets. Its assets include petroleum exploration permits PEP11 (85%) in the offshore Sydney Basin and retention license RL1 (100%) in the onshore Bonaparte Basin in the Northern territory. The company holds 100% of Exploration Permit EP 386, which covers the Western Australian section of the onshore Bonaparte Basin. Advent, through its subsidiary, Aotearoa Offshore Ltd NZ (AOLNZ), has the right to acquire a 30% participating interest in Petroleum Exploration Permits (PEP) 57075, 60092 and 60093 covering an area of approximately 5,180 square kilometers (kms2) in the Taranaki Basin.
