- Eligible fixed income securities might be classified as either investment grade or non-investment grade by a known rating agency, or they might be unrated. These securities can be issued with either fixed or variable interest rates and must adhere to minimum size criteria in their local currency.
- Each individual issuer is limited to 4% of the Index at the beginning of every month. The index undergoes a monthly rebalancing to ensure that its components continue to comply with the index guidelines. However, bonds can be excluded from the index during the month due to corporate actions.
- Bonds that are required to convert into equities at a specified date (mandatory convertible bonds), bonds without a maturity date (perpetual convertible bonds), and bonds issued under Rule 144a are not included.
