- The Insider Filings Model US evaluates insider holdings and trades to gauge how insiders feel about their company. When insiders buy shares, it shows optimism, while selling shares indicates pessimism.
- A score between 1 and 10 signals a negative outlook, whereas a score between 91 and 100 signals a positive outlook. The model assesses insider sentiment based on three criteria: the consensus among insiders on buying or selling stock ('Net Buyer Ratio'); the volume of stock bought ('Buying Depth'); and the volume of stock sold ('Selling Depth').
- Each firm is rated from 1 to 100 in these three areas, and an overall score is derived by combining these ratings to rank companies on a 1-100 scale. Currently, the Insider Filings Model US is applicable only to US companies.
